PSP EVENTS appoints new Rules & Referees Coordinators (Paul Richards and Marcus Shepherd )

This just in and hot of the presses!!!! PSP has brought in two new individuals to join the NEW Rules and Referees Coordinators Team! Lawrenceville, GA – The PSP (www.pspevents.com) is pleased to announce that Paul Richards and Marcus Shepherd have joined the team as the new Rules & Referees Coordinators to reinvigorate the reffing program with the intention that it match or exceed the professionalism PSP strives for in every facet of its operations. The new program will build on the strengths of past efforts while focusing on new referee training and certification along with promoting an esprit de corps within the current group of officials in part by demanding and rewarding excellence on the field. Paul Richards brings tremendous experience as a head coach in the pro division over the last decade. His coaching resume includes Detroit Strange, Miami Raiders, Baltimore Trauma, Tampa Bay Damage and most recently the 2013 World Cup Champions, San Antonio X-Factor. Paul has an impressive track record in the PSP with 14 podiums over the past 6 years. “Paul brings the competitor’s perspective to the job. He has a great ability to communicate, a deep comprehension of our rules and shares our vision of the game. We are fortunate to have him on board.” said Tom Cole, PSP’s General Manager. Marcus Shepherd has worked behind the scenes in a similar capacity over the last 8 seasons. He has a nut-and-bolts knowledge of divisional operations second to none and his experience has uniquely prepared him for this role. PSP 2013 Schedule Press Release

PSP always finds a way to revamp the sport. For the 2012 season, they brought back 10-man during World Cup! Now they are introducing new bunkers and a smaller field! To find out more about the 2013 season please read below… Last season, 7,760 unique players competed in the PSP circuit. 1,973 of those players were international – representing 38 countries from around the world. The domestic competitors came from all 50 states. Over 50 different companies participated in the 2012 PSP Trade Shows. Over 100,000 fans follow the PSP on Facebook. Big things are always happening at the PSP. While we’d love to provide you with all the details of the 2012 off-season, we will just share what matters most: The PSP 2013 season will be bigger and better than ever. Starting with our Season Opener held just outside of Dallas, TX where the city’s slogan is “Big Things Happen Here”. March 15 – 17, 2013 paintball players, vendors and fans from all over the world will suddenly pick up a southern drawl as they descend upon Dallas, Texas to compete for the toughest title in our sport: PSP Champions. The new venue, Cousins Paintball, is conveniently located 20 minutes east of downtown Dallas just off Interstate 20. The facility is over 250-acres; the largest in Texas. The park offers woods, rivers, open fields, air ball, hyper ball and other theme fields. The PSP will be offering RaceTo play as well as Pump and Woodsball through the UWL. The PSP Dallas Open will be a three-day event (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with the Trade Show and Team Check-In beginning on Thursday, March 14th. Finals will be held on St. Patrick’s Day (Sunday, March 17th) so be sure to wear your lucky green in the finals and stay Sunday night to celebrate with the PSP! 2013 PSP Schedule Starting in Texas and working its way across the United States, the 2013 PSP Circuit will consist of 5 major events with an estimated 130 – 330 teams per event.
